The way we practice.
You use your hands and wrists to do almost everything, from cooking and dressing to working on a computer or playing softball. We recognize that when your hands or wrists hurt, you have many choices for medical care. Before making your choice, there are some things we’d like you to know about this practice.
Patient Centric
We care. Many years of medical training at top research institutes including the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota shaped how Dr. Nicoson views and delivers patient care. In treating patients, he believes that doctors have better outcomes when they take the time to focus on patient needs, understandings, and preferences. Knowing how you feel about your condition and how it affects you is important to us. He spends time talking with patients so they can understand what's wrong while respecting the complexity of the human body.
Innovative
We think. Medicine constantly changes; and while some things are tried and true, staying informed about the latest medical studies, surgical techniques and technology is critical. Years of working side by side with renowned hand surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, peripheral nerve surgeons and plastic surgeons taught Dr. Nicoson the most innovative, research-driven methods for delivering the best possible hand management care. It is our goal to provide this level of excellence in our own community.
Accessible
We talk. Together. We want to know why you are coming to see us and how you use your hands so that you can get back to your daily activities as soon as possible. We want you to know in detail your diagnosis and the various treatment options available. Often non-surgical treatment options are tried before surgery is offered. We will talk with you and answer all your questions so that you can leave confident in your treatment plan. We also respect your time and want you to be seen at your scheduled time.
